7_Discriminate against isn't the basic test for the strength of love.
Last night 【Brokeback Mountain】emerged as the big Bafta (The British Academy Award) winner. If you guys are interested in it, here is the official list.
Finally, I went to the theater and watch the movie last weekend. For a faithful adapted screenplay, it's not that shock me at first until the final Act when Ennis' daughter came to see him, and told Ennis that she will get married soon. Larry McMurtry, a Pulitzer Prize-winning author, and Diana Ossana use a lot of fine details to present the change of Ennis' attitude: for instance, He said OK to attend the wedding, and this is the BEST part for me. Then.... Well, with watery eyes, BUT just a little bit. (That's NOT cry, Scooty.)
In my opinion, Ann Lee really captures the key point of discriminate against form the socials. I think what Annie Proulx wants to show is the difficulties and dangers living in the world, and the cowboy couple's love in Wyoming is just the perfect choice to express her attempt. Not only the arduous test form the Nature and conservative life, but also the prejudice to proof their love. Annie Proulx using a very brief, unexpected and unsentimental way writing this story, however, Ann Lee handles the topic with quiet tempo, vast environment and repressed emotion inversely. Both of them show the wonderful result!
Resently, in an interview with Larry McMurtry by 【CBS News Sunday Morning】, Mr. McMurtry told the audiences the life is not for sissies, and how hard the love is whether you find it or not.
〈'Brokeback' point? 'Life not for sissies'〉
I totally agree with him, but Mr. McMurtry forgot the premise: Everyone is not born equal, especially considering the discriminate against from the society. Though the 'Natural Selection' is the sober truth, it sounds a bit cold-blooded, and not fair for the folk.
This may be the last tattle about 【Brokeback Mountain】. Wish all of you will find THE ONE and lead his/her hand during the whole life.

〈'Brokeback' point? 'Life not for sissies'〉
It doesn't present any kind of agenda, any politics at all, one way or the other at all. It just says life is not for sissies.
You need strength; love is not easy. It's not easy if you find (it), it's not easy if you don't find it. It's not easy if you find it but it doesn't work out. It merely says the strong survive, but not everybody is strong.

There was some open space between what he knew and what he tried to believe, but nothing could be done about it, and if you can't fix it you've got to stand it.Annie Proulx

ReplyDeleteㄘㄟ....
You're English is god damn good!
